Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure that projects are performed in sequence, on budget, and meet technical and performance standards.
- Serve as the main liaison between the firm and clients, maintaining and strengthening relationships.
- Develop and train design and technical support staff, upgrading their capabilities.
- Monitor manpower staffing, project budgets, and performance to meet future requirements.
- Oversee multidisciplinary projects and coordinate with sub-consultants and subcontractors.
- Provide project cost reports and adjust programming to keep projects within budget.
- Lead proposal preparation, presentations, and business development efforts.
- Attend client meetings, address concerns, and ensure project success.
- Use engineering software (e.g., Autodesk Revit MEP, AutoCAD) to complete assigned work.
Qualifications:
- 15+ years of MEP engineering experience.
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required, with the ability to obtain a New Jersey PE.
- Extensive experience in MEP design and management from proposal through construction phases.
- Public facilities project experience; healthcare project experience is a plus.
- In-depth knowledge of New Jersey Building Codes.
- Strong communication and leadership skills with both clients and internal teams.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.
- Ability to manage multiple projects under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
