We are seeking experienced NOC Operators. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring, operating, and controlling both digital and analog telecommunications networks that provide critical voice and data services to transmission and distribution facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and maintain network components, including NERC/CIP critical sites via alarm monitoring software and video surveillance
- Serve as central point of contact for system operations, maintenance, and repair coordination
- Initiate and coordinate service restoration activities
- Develop and maintain documentation for network hardware and installation standards
- Process FAA tower lighting notifications
- Implement network changes following Change Management policies
- Coordinate planned outages and provide status reports
- Perform capacity, availability, and response time analysis
- Provide primary support for major systems (microwave, two-way radio, wireless LAN) and secondary support for minor systems
- Participate in on-call rotation for 24/7 emergency response
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma
- 5+ years experience as a NOC Operator, VMS/access control specialist, or equivalent technical support role
- Demonstrated experience with multiple monitoring systems
- Strong multitasking abilities and self-motivation
- General knowledge of telecommunications network design and architecture
- Understanding of equipment technologies, standards, and regulatory requirements
- General IT knowledge
