A premier business litigation firm dedicated is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Litigation Paralegal to join there team.
Position Summary:
The Litigation Paralegal will assist attorneys throughout all phases of business litigation cases, from initial client intake through trial preparation and case resolution. The ideal candidate has a strong background in business litigation, excellent organizational skills, and is comfortable handling a variety of legal tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support attorneys in all stages of litigation, including case intake, discovery, pre-trial, trial, and post-trial phases.
- Draft, review, and file various legal documents such as pleadings, motions, subpoenas, and discovery requests.
- Manage and organize case files, ensuring all documents are properly maintained and filed in both physical and electronic formats.
- Conduct legal research, gather case facts, and summarize relevant findings to assist in case strategy.
- Coordinate and schedule depositions, client meetings, witness interviews, and court appearances.
- Prepare attorneys for trial, including creating trial binders, organizing exhibits, and coordinating with expert witnesses.
- Communicate with clients, court officials, opposing counsel, and vendors regarding case-related matters.
- Assist in the collection, review, and production of documents for discovery and trial.
- Track and manage case deadlines, ensuring attorneys remain informed of all critical dates and timelines.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree and/or Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-accredited program.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Litigation Paralegal, preferably in business litigation.
- Strong understanding of federal and state court rules, e-filing procedures, and litigation processes.
- Proficiency with legal research tools (e.g., LexisNexis, Westlaw) and case management software.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
