Job Description:
The HVAC Service Manager will oversee the daily operations of the HVAC service department, ensuring efficient and high-quality service delivery. This role involves managing service technicians, coordinating schedules, maintaining customer relationships, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage and oversee the HVAC service department, including scheduling, dispatching, and coordinating service technicians.
• Ensure all service work is performed in compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing their needs and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Oversee the troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems, including heating, cooling, ventilation, and related equipment.
• Provide technical guidance and support to service technicians, assisting with complex issues and ensuring quality workmanship.
• Monitor and manage service department budgets, expenses, and profitability.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve service delivery, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide training and development opportunities for service technicians.
• Ensure accurate and timely completion of service reports, invoices, and other documentation.
• Stay current with industry trends, advancements, and best practices.
Qualifications:
• HVAC Trade School, HVAC Technology, Business Management, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in the HVAC industry, with at least 4 years in a management or supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, including heating, cooling, ventilation, and related equipment.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in using service management software and other relevant tools.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as required.
