GENERAL SUMMARY:
The LPN works under the general supervision of an RN, Assistant Nurse Manager, or other licensed provider to deliver excellent patient care completing the duties and responsibilities of the position while complying with the HIPAA and CVPH confidentiality policies. They are responsible to manage patient flow while supporting physician (s) to ensure efficient use of their time and minimize patient wait time. They are responsible to perform operational and quality/risk management duties according to regulations and protocols. The position requires regular use of independent judgment to interpret and apply policies, procedures and practices.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Skills Required:
1. Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing required.
2. Currently licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse in New York State.
3. Understanding and commitment to CVPH core values of teamwork, commitment, confidentiality and quality care.
4. Excellent attention to detail.
5. Good written and verbal communication skills.
6. Above average spelling and memory skills.
7. Working knowledge of medical terminology and medications.
8. Develop and maintain effective relationships with staff, providers, patients and external customers.
9. Knowledge of medical practice management and/or electronic medical records systems preferred.
10. Utilize available business technology to perform assigned duties.
11. Above average organizational skills.
12. Ability to make appropriate decisions with a minimum amount of supervisory direction.
13. Previous obstetrical nursing experience required.
14. Previous OB/GYN office experience preferred.
15. Previous experience in urodynamics preferred.
