About this role:
Manhattan based architecture firm is looking for a PM/PA to work on multiple Rehab and new construction projects of different scales from early concept to completion.
An award-winning architecture firm with a focus in sustainable design, is looking for a Project Architect/Project Manager to work on extensive rehab projects on existing buildings. This person will be working on a variety of residential and institutional projects of different scales, from interior renovations to multi-building campus upgrades, from the initial phases, all the way through to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all phases of diverse projects, from interior renovations and adaptive reuse of existing buildings to complex, multi-building campus renovations. This includes innovative sustainability upgrades, as well as residential and institutional projects, from feasibility studies through construction administration.
- Serve as the primary point of contact and interface with the client and consulting team.
- Lead the design process, ensuring that the integrity of the concept is maintained throughout all project phases, including documentation and construction.
- Coordinate design efforts and manage production for all project phases, such as existing building evaluations, schematic design, design development, and construction documents. Supervise the project team throughout.
- Manage the bid process and oversee construction administration services, including site visits and coordination with private and public agency owners.
Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture.
- A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience (Rehab/renovations and multi-family)
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Extensive project delivery experience, including CD’s and CA.
- Experience with sustainable design and multi-family housing are desired. Passive House is a big plus!
- Software proficiency in REVIT.
- Experience in NYC, including knowledge of Building Codes and Zoning.
- Architecture license is a plus but not a requirement.
