Piper Maddox has partnered with a leading provider of renewable energy solutions that is backed by one of the largest PE firms in the US, specializing in building and managing utility-scale solar and storage projects. With over 20 years in the industry, they have established a strong reputation in the industry, completing more than 2GW of projects, including 850MWh of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).
They are currently looking to expand their operations team, and are looking for a Director of Operations / Project Management to collaborate closely with project teams and field management, enhancing client relationships and ensuring the successful execution of renewable projects.
Responsibilities:
- Manage multiple large portfolios and coordinate multiple teams effectively.
- Develop and update operational policies in collaboration with the management team.
- Navigate project disputes to achieve positive outcomes with clients.
- Recruit, train, and embed company culture into all team members.
- Organize and participate in team-building events to strengthen collaboration.
- Lead the Project Management team, working with Business Development to guide portfolios through the pipeline process, FMEA, contract signing, and project startup.
- Ensure all project risks are identified and planned for appropriately.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Renewable Engineering, or a related field.
- 5-9+ years of relevant construction industry experience with increasing responsibility.
- Proven experience managing complex projects of over 200MW
- Strong leadership skills, with a track record of motivating and managing diverse project teams.
- Ability to decisively resolve project issues and prioritize effectively.
- Demonstrated success in delivering projects on schedule and within budget.
- Experience with project start-up meetings, execution plans, and subcontractor/vendor negotiations.
