A premier Southeastern Contractor is seeking a Senior Preconstruction Manager to join their team. This role is pivotal in steering the company’s efforts to craft top-tier budget proposals and bids for large-scale commercial construction projects.
Your new role
As a Senior Preconstruction Manager, you will take charge of coordinating with teams and senior management to align business growth with the company’s strategic goals. Your responsibilities will include managing the bid calendar, ensuring the timely completion of estimates, and leading the preparation of budget proposals exceeding $50 million. You will also be instrumental in conducting design assist/constructability reviews, maintaining the accuracy of submissions, and serving as the primary point of contact during preconstruction phases.
What you’ll need to succeed
To thrive in this role, you should possess a B.S. in Construction Management or a related engineering discipline, coupled with 5-10 years of experience in the commercial construction sector. A minimum of five years as a Senior Estimator on large commercial projects is essential. Your expertise should reflect a deep understanding of preconstruction standards and procedures, and you should be adept at collaborating with Operations teams.
