Responsible for the repair, maintenance, inspection, testing and adjustment of all equipment, machinery, and buildings and grounds. Will work one of the four primary maintenance shifts, A, B, C, or D, with the ability to work overtime on short notice, including weekends, based on job requirements. Will respond to all Safety and Emergency calls as directed by the shift supervisor.
Performs all task requested by the Maintenance Supervisor/Manager and/or other management personnel through the direction of the shift supervisor.
Essential Functions:
• Complete preventative and predictive maintenance of all plant equipment and machinery following maintenance work instructions.
• Complete all work in a professional manner as time and material allow.
• Strictly adhere to all Nemak safety guidelines and regulations.
• Perform corrective maintenance to casting and finishing equipment.
• Diagnosis equipment failures including hydraulic-pneumatic-electrical systems.
• Diagnose mechanical assembly failures such as gear boxes, pumps, conveyors, furnaces.
• Adjust, tighten, and repair items as possible around production breaks, lunch and work stoppages as directed by shift supervisor.
• Monitor equipment and machinery for problems, be proactive in preparing for and conducting repairs.
• Complete work orders promptly and properly with all required information.
• Route all emergency work order data and planned work order data to Maintenance Supervisor.
• Keep work and shop area clean and orderly at all times.
• Ability to work overtime on short notice, including weekends.
• Ability to have regular physical attendance per the regular shift schedule.
• Other duties as required by the Supervisor and/or other management personnel.
Minimum requirements (training, experience, education):
• High School Diploma
• Prefer 2 years technical Associates Degree OR 2 to 5 years industrial maintenance experience.
• High Pressure Die Casting Maintenance experience a plus.
• CNC maintenance experience a plus.
