Role: Hardware Product Validation (PV) Engineer
Location: Fargo, ND
Duration: 12+ Months Contract
Job Description:
Gather and format test requirements from internal and external customers with assistance from others.
Review and provide proper feedback about the requirements to stakeholders or cross-functional design teams.
Create Hardware Test Plans, with assistance from others, based on product requirements, test standards, and testing best practices.
Perform and oversee, with assistance, the performance of Product Verification and Validation testing performed internally or externally and troubleshoot problems associated with testing.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of testing results and current/future testing schedules, communicating results and schedule progress to stakeholders.
Review test results, draw conclusions, and compose technical reports based on findings and results of testing.
Required Skills:
2-5 years product testing of electronics or product development experience.
2-5 years project management experience.
2-5 years of work experience in a team environment.
2-5 years of experience with data acquisition and validation tools.
Good written and verbal communication skills (English).
Understanding of product development phases.
Additional Skills that Would Make the Candidate Standout:
Experience with product testing or design of ruggedized electronics.
Experience working with VC-B1 or VC-B2 voltage levels.
Experience with development and debugging tools (e.g., oscilloscopes, multi-meters, etc.).
Knowledge of reliability planning for electronic assemblies.
Experience with basic electronics hardware and systems (i.e., Op Amp, FET’s, Transistors, A/D converters, serial and parallel interfaces, etc.).
Experience in LabVIEW or other NI programming languages.
Experience with communication networks (e.g., CAN, Ethernet, RS-232/485, etc.).
Experience with communication protocols (e.g., J1939, ISO11783, TCP/IP, etc.).
Experience working in an ISO 17025 accredited test lab.
Qualification:
BSEE or BS in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Mechatronics Engineering.
