The Warehouse/Shipping & Receiving Clerk is responsible for overseeing the efficient flow of goods in and out of the warehouse. This includes receiving and inspecting incoming shipments, verifying contents, organizing inventory, preparing outgoing orders, and maintaining accurate shipping records. The role ensures that the warehouse operates smoothly, and that products are safely stored and delivered on time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect incoming shipments for damage and verify contents against purchase orders or shipping documentation.
- Record and report any discrepancies, damaged goods, or missing items to appropriate personnel.
- Organize products in the warehouse for easy access and proper inventory management.
- Ensure all incoming goods are labeled correctly and stored in the appropriate locations.
- Prepare and package orders for shipment according to customer specifications.
- Perform regular inventory checks and cycle counts to ensure accuracy of stock.
- Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing shipments, including quantities, dates, and product details.
- Update and maintain inventory management systems with incoming and outgoing shipments data.
Skills & Qualifications:
- High school diploma
- 1+ years of experience in warehouse operations, shipping, or receiving roles.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems and software (e.g., SAP, WMS) preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
