This position will report to the Regional Managing Director of the firm who splits time between Akron, Ohio and Greenville, South Carolina. You will work directly with her to service a client base of 100 client households and more importantly, continue to develop our relationships with local centers of influence. The focus of your work will be servicing an established client base and client acquisition through an established prospecting network. This position requires the candidate to be in the office in Greenville, SC. Anyone interested in only remote work will not be considered. Your responsibilities will include:
- Business Development: will work closely with the Regional Managing Director to develop new client relationships by working with existing partners in an established network of Centers of Influence. You will work on deepening relationships with referral partners through regular contact and prospective client events.
- Client Advice: will work closely with the Regional Managing Director to provide a high level of personalized wealth management services to the firm’s private clients. Daily you will guide clients through their wealth management decisions and provide ongoing guidance thereafter. You will also take primary responsibility for ongoing account maintenance matters and promptly respond to client inquiries and service requests.
- Client Reviews and Retention: will be responsible for independently managing the client review process in the firm’s Client Relationship Management system (Salesforce). Through this process, you will help to identify and follow through on important client-specific needs to enable the firm to maintain its high level of client retention and growth.
- Financial Planning: must be able to develop comprehensive financial plans using the firm’s interactive planning software (MoneyGuidePro). You will gather and process all data necessary to analyze diverse financial planning matters including cash flow and retirement needs analysis, debt management, education funding, risk management and other client-specific financial goals.
- Technology: our client service model is supported by software programs integrated for the management of calendars, client information, activities and correspondence, investment accounts and financial plans. You will be responsible for the input and ongoing maintenance of information in these systems.
- Coordination of Professional Services: as part of the client’s team, you will work proactively with the client’s outside advisors including their accountant, attorney, and insurance providers to ensure that the client is benefiting from the coordination of all professional services.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree and significant professional designation (CFP®, CFA, etc.)
- Or Advanced degree (MBA, J.D., PhD)
- 5 or more years of experience in one or more private client disciplines (banking, investment, trust or financial planning) preferred
- Past history of direct management of client relationships
- Knowledge of wealth management and financial planning
- Strong personal and entrepreneurial drive and communication skills
- Possession of a Series 65 License, knowledge of Salesforce and/or MoneyGuidePro are desired, but not required.
