Our client is on the hunt for an experienced and detail-oriented Cost Manager to play a crucial role in managing the financial and commercial aspects of our EV construction projects. This key role ensures the financial efficiency, contractual compliance, and successful delivery of high-impact projects. Key Responsibilities:
- Cost Estimation & Budgeting: Lead cost estimation, financial forecasting, and budgeting for construction projects, ensuring accurate financial planning.
- Contractual & Commercial Oversight: Provide expert advice on contracts, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and commercial best practices.
- Procurement & Negotiations: Oversee procurement processes, negotiate and finalise contracts with designers, contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Project Budget Monitoring: Collaborate closely with project teams to track budgets, manage cost overruns, and optimise financial outcomes.
- Risk Assessment & Value Engineering: Conduct risk assessments, perform value engineering, and offer cost analysis to enhance project performance.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and deliver regular financial reports, ensuring projects remain aligned with budget and commercial goals.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Cost Management, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
- Experience: 5+ years of proven experience as a Cost Manager, with a strong focus on commercial management within construction projects.
- Technical Expertise: Proficient in construction contracts, procurement methods, and legal aspects related to the industry.
- Skills: Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal abilities; adept at managing competing priorities and making data-driven decisions.
