Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Heavy Civil Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in estimating for heavy civil projects, including road construction, bridges, and site development. You will play a critical role in project success by providing accurate and competitive cost estimates.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for heavy civil construction projects.
- Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documents to develop comprehensive estimates.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate project scope and pricing.
- Identify and evaluate cost-saving opportunities and project risks.
- Maintain updated cost databases and ensure compliance with industry standards and company procedures.
- Participate in bid meetings and project negotiations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
- 3+ years of experience as an estimator in heavy civil construction.
- Proficiency in estimation software and MS Office Suite.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
