Position: Director of Operations
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Director of Operations to execute the daily operational functions of our real estate-focused family office. The Director of Operations will be responsible for implementing operational strategies, optimizing business processes, and ensuring the efficient management of our real estate assets. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of the real estate industry and the unique dynamics of a family office environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Leadership:
- Undertake operational aspects of the company, including property management, asset management, finance, legal, and administrative functions.
- Collaborate with the CIO and executive team to develop and execute long-term strategic plans that align with the family's vision and investment objectives.
- Identify opportunities for growth, diversification, and value enhancement within the real estate portfolio.
- Financial Management:
- Work closely with the Accounting Team to manage budgeting, financial planning, forecasting, and reporting.
- Oversee financial performance, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and regulatory compliance.
- Implement cost-control measures and financial risk management strategies.
- Portfolio Management:
- Carry out the management and optimization of the real estate portfolio to maximize returns and mitigate risks.
- Ensure proper due diligence, acquisition, development, and disposition of assets.
- Monitor market trends and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure all company operations comply with legal regulations, industry standards, and internal policies.
- Implement robust risk management frameworks to safeguard assets and reputation.
- Collaborate with CIO on contracts, negotiations, and legal matters related to real estate transactions.
- Stakeholder Engagement:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with family members, investors, partners, regulators, and other key stakeholders.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to the family on operational and strategic matters.
- Technology and Innovation:
- Leverage technology to improve operational efficiency, data management, and decision-making processes.
- Stay abreast of industry innovations and integrate relevant advancements into the business.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Real Estate, or a related field
- Masters in Real Estate or relevant advanced degree preferred.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 7-10 years of management experience in real estate operations, with a proven track record in a similar role.
- Experience working within a family office or private investment firm is highly desirable.
- Extensive knowledge of real estate investment, development, asset management, and property management.
- Functional knowledge of real estate law, estate planning, tax law, and basic contract law is preferred.
- Demonstrated success in strategic planning, operational execution, and team leadership.
