Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Regional Manager to oversee operations at five camps in Somalia, Djibouti, and Kenya. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in LOGCAP and US Government contingency contracts, emphasizing safety, quality, and compliance. This role involves managing project operations and personnel in challenging environments, ensuring effective execution and adherence to contractual requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee Operations: Manage all aspects of operations at the camps.
- Safety Leadership: Implement safety programs to protect employees and contractors.
- Quality and Compliance: Ensure adherence to quality standards and relevant regulations.
- Customer Relations: Build strong relationships with clients and understand their needs.
- Employee Development: Recruit and train a high-performing team.
- Financial Management: Oversee budgets and expenditures for operational efficiency.
- Strategic Planning: Develop plans to enhance efficiency and identify growth opportunities.
- Risk Management: Mitigate risks to protect company assets.
- Travel: Frequent travel between sites for oversight.
Core Services:
- Base Infrastructure: Construction and maintenance of facilities, utilities management, and security.
- Logistics and Supply: Procurement, inventory management, and transportation coordination.
- Medical Services: Oversight of medical facilities and personnel, emergency care, and evacuations.
- Personnel Support: Management of personnel records and welfare activities.
- Environmental Management: Compliance with regulations and sustainable practices.
- Communication and IT: Management of communication systems and IT support.
Qualifications:
- Extensive experience with LOGCAP and US Government contracts.
- Proven remote site management experience.
- Active SECRET Clearance or ability to obtain one.
- Strong understanding of FAR and related regulations.
- Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
- Preferred: Experience in East Africa, knowledge of local customs, and security protocols.
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience (13-16 years). Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant applications required.
Location: Somalia. Frequent travel required.
