Our client is seeking a Full-Time Environmental Manager to support US based LNG export facility and service the global demand for North American natural gas. This Louisiana-based position will support the long-term development of clean and reliable North American energy supplies.
The position involves occasional travel to project sites across the US.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and ensure compliance with environmental regulations and assess the environmental impact of operations.
- Collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to address environmental concerns.
- Respond promptly to environmental issues and emergencies.
- Lead environmental teams to implement site-specific environmental procedures and standards.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and learning through knowledge-sharing, compliance audits, and initiatives.
- Actively lead and participate in Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) initiatives on-site.
- Review environmental staffing needs, focusing on mentoring, professional development, and staff coordination, including recruiting, hiring, discipline, and training in collaboration with Human Resources.
- Ensure environmental training programs are well-structured and aligned with organizational needs.
- Assist with the preparation of the annual environmental budget and maintain cost control measures.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related supervisory discipline.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in industrial construction, particularly in gas processing plants.
- Solid understanding of EPA and LDEQ regulations.
- Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC) is preferred.
- Experience representing clients in the field.
- Strong technical and analytical skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated self-direction, with a strong focus on timely execution and problem-solving.
