OPPORTUNITY: Report to VP of Facilities & Maintenance while interfacing with all plant and manufacturing departments for a 40K+ SQ FT plant with three shifts. Be responsible for only one shift with a focus on administratively managing, scheduling and organizing technician resources to handle maintenance and repairs on the manufacturing floor and building. A focus on implementing further six sigma and lean manufacturing initiatives. Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize and supervise the maintenance team of 6+ for the repair of facilities and equipment ensuring that jobs are completed efficiently and within regulatory guidelines and projected deadlines.
- Prepare and manage the annual operating budgets for the maintenance, grounds and custodial departments; and ensure optimal utilization of staff and resources.
- Supervise and perform repairs/construction, preventive maintenance, etc. to the project design and budget.
- Inspect repair work, projects, equipment, work orders, daily maintenance, and supplies ensuring quality.
- Monitor project costs/spending balances of programs and financial costs ensuring they are within budget limits.
- Participates in meetings, workshops, and seminars for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information required to perform functions.
- Perform duties that enhance operation KPI metrics along with efficient and effective functioning of the line.
- Personnel functions include interviewing, evaluating, supervising, etc. maintaining adequate staffing, enhancing productivity of personnel, and achieving objectives within budget.
- Present information to management to best establish internal controls.
- Recommend new hires, promotions, terminations, and transfers for a most productive work force.
- Address performance challenges providing employees with corrective actions, resources, training, and support to bridge performance issues.
- Perform routine inspections of the work environment and facility to ensure regulatory compliance and adhere to GMP’s, HACCP, and SSOP plans.
REQUIREMENTS: Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus. 2 or 4 year college or industrial technical training/vocational schooling plus 5-7 years of related work experience. Equipment manufacturer certification, electrical experience and/or license are pluses. Knowledge of and proficiency in all OSHA and local requirements related to all assigned work as well as CPU’s, PLC’s and controls. Experience in commercial building maintenance and repairs. REWARD: $90,000 to $130,000 (depending on experience) plus 5-10% bonus, excellent benefits (Free medical, dental and other insurances, great 401k match).
