LEASE RECORDS ANALYST

As a Lease Records Analyst, you’ll play an essential role in the review, setup, and maintenance of oil and gas leases and land contracts that drive acquisitions, drilling programs, and land transactions. Responsibilities
- Lead the analysis, setup, and maintenance of oil and gas leases, rights-of-way, and unit designations in P2.
- Update agreements promptly with amendments, releases, ratifications, and track records through production milestones.
- Manage agreements in alignment with monthly Pay, Obligation, and Expiration calendars.
- Calculate and implement minimum royalty payments, delay rentals, and other contractual payments.
- Support accurate ownership records with division order analysts and landmen.
- Generate key land reports detailing ownership, acreage, provisions, and well information.
- Work closely with GIS, Accounting, Land, and IT teams on daily tasks and special projects.
- Provide expert solutions to owner relations inquiries related to Lease Records.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business (Accounting, Finance, Economics, Energy Management) or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years in Lease Records, with deep knowledge of Texas land administration.
- CPLTA certification is a plus.
- Proficiency in P2 Land (highly desired), ThoughtTrace, or LandVantage systems.
- Strong skills in data management, electronic file maintenance, and reporting from P2 Land or equivalent software.
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
- Expertise in lease, royalty, and joint interest partner concepts, as well as oil and gas regulations.
- Advanced analytical skills with an eye for detail.
- Strong command of MS Outlook, SharePoint, Word, and Excel.
- Ability to communicate effectively and build relationships across departments.
- Adaptable to new technology, bringing fresh perspectives to land administration.
