Tactical – Immediate responsibilities
Project Development & Management
The initial role at the company will be to manage existing projects and support existing client systems while learning the Reliable Controls product. You will join our engineering team to help mentor your learning of the clients, systems, and products we are using. You will have technician support for our control projects, and managerial support to help meet client expectations, and consultant relationships.
Become Proficient with Reliable Controls
Candidates are expected to become capable of control system design, produce controls drawings (using Visio 2010), write code for RELIABLE controllers, understand and master the product line applications. You will work progressively with other employees in these duties to become proficient; it is expected you take more responsibility in these areas as your knowledge and skills grow. You will have team support, but in time, you are expected to be a team leader in the control disciplines.
Develop programming skills to help with projects and support existing clients.
ASHRAE Chapter membership
You would be expected to attend chapter meetings monthly, to further our controls system representation and build our controls system image in the design community as a whole. The company would reimburse you for these membership fees, and other associated expenses.
Job Requirements
· Programming in line code applications: Enhanced Basic and other languages
· Troubleshoots problems with mechanical systems and controls hardware
· Plan & preform Controls system preventive maintenance support with Technicians
· Coordinate with technicians and clients to determine problems and implement solutions
· Provides technical assistance as needed by mechanics and clients
· Build control system material list for projects
· Review and commission sequence of operation
· Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering preferred
· 5 to 7 years of work experience in a related field
· Tridium Niagara, Siemens, LON, JCI, Distech and other BMS control integration experience preferred
· Proficient in computer-aided design and drafting software: CAD & Visio
· Excellent communication skills
· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
· Ability to determine customer needs to develop project specifications and scope
· Ability to interpret and implement specifications
· Determines key requirements for project costs and other estimates
· Uses cost-analysis software for planning, forecasting, and budgeting
· Reviews vendor offers and quotes from subcontractors and site managers
· Provides consultations and updates on project needs
· Familiarity with project management principles, data analysis, and estimation formulas
· Strong math and analytical skills
