Role Overview:
They are seeking an experienced Energy Project Manager to take a key role in overseeing and executing commissioning projects aimed at improving energy efficiency and building performance. This position will involve coordinating all phases of project management, from initial planning to successful completion, ensuring each project meets both energy-saving and sustainability targets. As the Energy Project Manager, you will be responsible for identifying and addressing common building issues, including optimizing system performance and addressing occupant comfort concerns.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning & Execution: Lead energy and commissioning projects from start to finish, working with cross-functional teams to ensure project goals are met. Oversee all aspects of project scope, scheduling, and resource allocation to optimize building performance.
- Cost & Budget Management: Manage project budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality. Ensure projects are completed within financial targets, delivering high value to clients.
- Risk Mitigation: Identify and address potential risks in each project, ensuring compliance with local regulations, industry standards, and the company’s own commitment to sustainability and energy efficiency.
- Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the main point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle. Provide clear updates, address questions, and work to maintain high client satisfaction by delivering on expectations.
- Quality & Compliance Assurance: Oversee quality control to ensure all systems are correctly installed and operational. Ensure that each commissioning process meets regulatory requirements and high standards for energy performance and sustainability.
- Performance Analysis & Reporting: Track project outcomes and performance metrics, using data to provide insights on energy savings, system efficiency, and overall building optimization.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, project management, or a related field. A master’s degree or PMP certification is a plus.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in project management within the energy or building commissioning sector, with a strong track record of managing energy efficiency and optimization projects.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Asana) and a solid understanding of building systems and energy management. Familiarity with commissioning processes is a plus.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Strong ability to lead teams and manage client expectations effectively.
- Certifications: PMP, LEED, or other relevant certifications are preferred but not required.
