Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Azure Technical Architect to join our team, with sponsorship for a new H1B visa. Key Responsibilities:
- Cloud Architecture Design: Lead the design and implementation of Azure-based solutions, including compute, storage, networking, and identity services.
- Azure Migration: Plan and execute the migration of on-premises infrastructure to Azure, ensuring minimal downtime and high performance.
- Security and Compliance: Implement best practices for Azure security, including identity management, encryption, and compliance with industry regulations.
- Automation and DevOps: Work with DevOps teams to build automated infrastructure, leveraging Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform and Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates.
- Cloud Strategy and Governance: Develop and manage cloud governance strategies that align with the organization’s needs, including cost management, resource allocation, and service monitoring.
- Collaboration with Teams: Partner with cross-functional teams, including developers, operations, and business stakeholders, to translate business requirements into scalable Azure solutions.
- Performance Optimization: Continuously optimize cloud architecture for performance, security, and cost, monitoring and troubleshooting Azure environments.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive technical documentation for cloud architectures, processes, and configurations.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Extensive Azure Experience: Proven track record in architecting and deploying solutions using Microsoft Azure services, such as Azure Virtual Machines, Azure App Services, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), and Azure SQL Database.
- Azure Architecture Expertise: Deep understanding of cloud architecture principles, including designing for scale, redundancy, and fault tolerance in cloud environments.
- Migration Experience: Experience in migrating on-premises systems or applications to the cloud, specifically Microsoft Azure.
- Security Expertise: Strong knowledge of Azure security services, including Azure Active Directory, network security groups, and best practices for securing cloud workloads.
- DevOps and Automation: Proficiency in using automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, PowerShell, Azure CLI, and ARM templates.
- Networking Knowledge: Expertise in Azure networking components such as Virtual Networks (VNet), VPNs, Load Balancers, and ExpressRoute.
- Cost Optimization: Ability to manage and optimize cloud resources for cost-effective operations, leveraging Azure’s cost management tools.
- Communication and Collaboration: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and interact with global teams.
Education and Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Preferred Certifications:
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience working as a Cloud Architect or in a similar role.
- Experience in DevOps practices and tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines.
