Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Sales Support/CAD Position at Airsystem Sales, Inc. located in the Nashville Metropolitan Area. The role involves supporting sales activities and utilizing Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software.
· All job duties will focus on providing sales support for 5 outside sales engineers. Our company designs systems and we sell equipment for/to industrial facilities with the purpose of making air cleaner to breathe. We also provide support for existing equipment and systems with the same purpose.
· You will have to prove your ability to generate 2D CAD drawings and potentially 3D CAD drawings of the systems we design, consult, provide and sell to an end user. 3D drawings are becoming more popular. The knowledge to generate 2D drawings from 3D drawings is a must. The systems we design, and the equipment we sell are large in size. These are not precise machining type drawings.
· You will need to learn how to make equipment selections to support the Airsystem Sales Engineers’ active projects and our customers needs. We size and select fans, dust collectors, filters, motor control panels, air handling units, etc. We have outside sales engineers in four offices. This position will support five (5) sales engineers in all four sales offices on a project-by-project basis.
· You will need to be able to accurately price, propose and order equipment selections made above.
· You will need to be able to identify, accurately price, propose and order parts.
· This position will require some site visits to industrial facilities, mostly in TN. Less frequent visits might be to a 5-state area around TN. Even less frequent visits will be to any of the rest of the 48 states based on consulting work we do for our customers. Travel might be 3 days at a time. Overnight travel might be twice a quarter.
· You will need to perform hands-on work. Industrial visits can be hot, cold, dirty, sticky, and sometimes physically challenging with ladder climbing and hands-on work. When doing fieldwork, one will get hot and dirty. Safety is a number 1 priority for these industrial visits.
· You will participate in onsite equipment startups and equipment trouble shooting visits.
· Infrequent 3D imagining of equipment and parts at industrial facilities.
· Remote work from a laptop via VPN is required due to travel and training that will be around various states. Travel for training will be heavier when starting this position. IL, MA, AR, KY, IN, OH etc. Many job tasks will require in-office work for better productivity. For a regular work week, remote work might be 1 day per week.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in sales support, customer service, and CAD software
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Prerequisites--Experience with 2 D (and potentially 3D) CAD drawings is an absolute requirement. No previous employment experience is required. This is an entry level position. No degree is required but is preferred. If you don't have CAD experience, you will not be considered.
Salary $60,000 per year plus benefits.
A mobile work phone will be provided for this position. Health, dental and vision insurance is paid for by the company for the employee. Bonuses are possible but not guaranteed. Profit sharing plan to a SEP (per IRS rules) for all employees after 2 years of employment.
This is a perfect job opportunity for someone with no working experience that does not want to just do CAD drawings day in and day out. Much of this will be office work but will require multitasking and an assortment of jobs.
