Job Requirements:
- Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school
- Licensed to practice law in the state of Texas
- 2-5 years of proven experience as Legal Counsel in a business environment
- Experience with contract, employment, franchise (agriculture or automotive dealer) law
- Proven research skills
Job Preferences:
- Previous legal experience in manufacturing or agricultural industries
- Previous litigation experience
- Previous experience collaborating with Human Resources department and internal investigations
Job Summary:
This role requires an agile, business minded legal professional that has experience with drafting multiple types of complex agreements, including those with suppliers, vendors, and licensees, as well as other commercial agreements, marketing agreements and agreements involving various types of technologies. This job also requires being onsite daily to be able to collaborate with department managers to answer general day-to-day questions that may arise on a real-time basis.
Essential Job Functions:
- Prepare, review, and negotiate company contracts, requests for proposal and other legal documents
- Negotiate, draft, and administer all contractual agreements
- Need to be practical and business-minded with an ability to present a business partner with real-world, pragmatic advice. Ability to work in a dynamic, multicultural environment is also needed.
- Experience with global legal matters preferred.
- Sound legal judgment in developing and implementing legal solutions.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
- Comprehensive understanding of business matters.
- A results-oriented professional with strong common sense and superior business acumen.
- Work closely with members of the legal team (who may be in other Mahindra locations) to develop and improve applicable standardized forms, processes, and procedures
- Perform risk analysis review for all contractual documents and recommend mitigating options
