Overview: We are seeking a Geotechnical Field Inspector to join our team in NY/NJ. You will be working on a high-profile project in the Bronx.
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Field oversight of geotechnical drilling (SPTs/CPTs/Rock Coring/Test Pits).
- Field oversight of deep foundation installation (Driven Piles/Caissons/Micropiles/Helical Piles).
- Detailed Caisson Inspection (Utilizing underwater cameras and/or other techniques for structural integrity of rock and proper placement).
- Field oversight and monitoring of pile load tests.
- Field oversight of ground improvement techniques (Aggregate Piers/Compaction Grouting).
- Support of excavation inspection including tie-rod installation and testing.
- Field oversight of shallow foundation installation, sheeting/shoring.
- Field oversight of earthwork operations, subgrade preparation,
- Field oversight of soil stabilization/improvement techniques (lime/cement/geotextiles/geogrids).
- Underpinning inspections.
Minimum Requirements:
- BS in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Geotechnical Engineering.
- 3 Years relevant experience.
- Experience in field oversight of Geotechnical activities including installation of shallow and deep foundations, earthwork operations, support of excavation (shoring/sheeting), etc.
Technical Requirements:
- Knowledge of NY State Building Code Required
Compensation:
$50 - $70 Hourly
The expected salary range for the position is displayed in accordance with the state’s law. Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.
