Interested in working at the forefront of breakthrough technology revolutionising the battery space?
On the back of recent research breakthroughs, our client, the leading organization in silicon anode development, have secured funding both in investment and government contracts, as well as successfully deploying their product into commercial partnerships.
As such, they are looking for experienced and ambitious research scientists to join their world class R&D team. In the role you will be leading the development of electrolyte formulations optimized for SiO/C anode chemistries targeting a variety of application requirements.
This is an ideal role if you have a strong understanding of electrolyte material development, and how changes can affect full cell performances in application.
What you will be doing
- Conducting research of electrolyte formulations, ideal for SiO/C chemistries, developing strategies and execution plans for a variety of future products.
- Manage multiple materials design development initiatives with an aim to design and create novel solutions and intellectual property.
- Working within the development team with all aspects of lab work including materials synthesis and characterisation techniques, as well as electrode fabrication and process improvement
- Testing in both cell assembly and electrochemical performance, providing analysis-backed recommendations.
Requirements
- 3+ years relevant working experience in commercial or post-doctoral research within battery electrolyte development.
- PhD or equivalent work experience in Electrochemistry, Materials Science or Chemical Engineering
- Strong fundamental understanding of electrolyte materials and their performance in full cells under a variety of use/abuse scenarios
- Significant experience with analytical techniques relevant to electrolyte development and characterization (3-electrode electrochemistry, dQ/dV, conductivity, viscosity, etc)
- Previous experience with battery and materials commercialization process from lab product to manufacturing scale.
They will be announcing big expansion plans this quarter, so joining now at the start of a period of huge growth, means you will have scope to get involved with a wide variety of projects across the organization and be first in line for future career opportunities.
