GENERAL SUMMARY
Perform routine maintenance tasks on CNC, Manual Machinery and all auxiliary equipment within the facility in an industrial environment.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)
- Perform job duties safely and in accordance with company EHS policies.
- Ability to troubleshoot production equipment
- Move and install production and building equipment.
- Utilize and maintain hand and power tools.
- Detect and correct safety hazards.
- Perform preventative maintenance duties as assigned on various equipment.

What do you need?
Requirements:
- Repair equipment working from schematics, diagrams, drawings, and or oral instructions.
- Repair to a component level.
- May install and repair electrical components of industrial machinery and equipment.
- Repairs and maintains mechanical and hydraulic components of production machines and equipment.
- Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment. Listens for unusual sounds to detect malfunction to diagnose problems. Dismantles defective machines and equipment and install new or repaired parts, following specifications and blueprints.
- Maintains inventory of repair parts and associated documentation.
- Communicates with Production Supervisors, line operators and other maintenance staff as to condition of equipment and what maintenance will be performed.
- Estimates repair requirements in terms of time and material.
- Requisitions material to be purchased for repair needs.
- Documents systems changes to mechanical and electrical systems and keeps an active file with documentation on all shop controls and systems.
- Performs other duties from time to time as assigned.
- Must be able to estimate both time and material for items being installed, maintained or repaired.
- Must be able to diagnose a problem and plan in order to fix an issue with minimal supervision.
- Plumbing piping such as CPVC and air lines.
- Complies with safety regulations and maintains clean and orderly work areas.
- Reads and interprets drawings, equipment manuals, and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
- Diagnoses problems, replaces or repairs parts, tests and makes adjustments.
- Can include working outside in all weather conditions, working in confined spaces and in poorly lighted areas.
- Walking on uneven, slippery surfaces and encountering forklift traffic.
- Bending and crouching and climbing ladders and stairs.
- Installs new machines and relocates existing machines as required.
- Levels and aligns machinery using all necessary inspection equipment.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Mechanical (industrial / manufacturing setting).
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity.
- Must have regular and reliable attendance.
- Must understand hydraulic/fluid/plumbing systems and principles.
- Must be able to regularly lift up to 40 lbs.
- Must be able to walk/climb up and down stairs/ladders frequently/repeatedly.
- Must have the ability to follow the Supervisor’s orders or directives.
- Must communicate effectively with supervisors, line operators & suppliers.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
- Acts as a team player and is able to interact harmoniously with staff at all levels of the companyForklift and scissor lift license will need to be certified here at the facility.
- Must have a valid Drivers License.
