The Stacker assembles coils, steel Cores, and clamps to initiate the building process for Transformers. Sets up stack tables for proper dimensions, and stacks steel according to specifications. The stacker also welds core clamp assemblies in place.
In this Function You Will
*Follows bills of material for required core steel assemblies to be cut. (S-style)
*Closely monitor automatic shearing of steel while at the same time stacking on stack table.
*Monitor core steel for burr level, correct sizing, and proper stacking. (S-style)
*Set up fixture on the stacking tables for proper high precision core alignment. (S-style)
*Stack the main core and up-ends completed unit onto a roller cart. (S-style)
*Install coils and insulation into main core and stacks top yoke. (S-style)
*Assemble and welds core clamps into position. (S-style
*Move materials and completed assemblies using a forklift and overhead cranes as required.
*Responsible for the quality level of edge burrs. Must make a decision on when to change blades and schedule work with the supervisor. (S-style)
*Maintain awareness of steel slit edge burr.
*Watch for waviness of steel after shearing. Identifies reasons for steel slit edge waviness (possible bad bearing or defective core steel). Informs supervisor when problems occur. Works with supervisor and maintenance to resolve the problem. (S-style)
*Operate and set up stacking table, tilt table, and base plate. (Wound Core)
*Proper core lacing. (Wound Core)
*Install top and bottom clamp with end plates. (Wound Core)
*Operate horizontal shear and vertical band saw. (Wound Core)
Required Qualifications
*High school or GED (General Education Degree) from an accredited institution is required
*Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship, now or in the future
*All candidates considered must live within 50 miles of the Waukesha, WI facility. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
