Job Title: VOC Analyst
Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented VOC Analyst to perform analytical testing of environmental samples for VOCs using advanced laboratory instruments such as GC-MS. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, analytical skills, and a commitment to quality to support our team in delivering accurate and reliable data to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyze environmental samples (air, water, soil) for volatile organic compounds using GC-MS and other relevant instrumentation.
- Interpret data and ensure it meets quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot lab equipment to ensure operational efficiency.
- Document and report findings accurately, ensuring compliance with laboratory quality standards.
- Follow strict safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Assist in developing and improving laboratory processes, protocols, and methods.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Experience with GC-MS instrumentation, sample preparation, and VOC analysis (preferred).
- Familiarity with environmental regulations and quality control standards (e.g., EPA methods).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
