Job Title: Lead Controls Technician/Programmer

Position Overview
We seek an experienced Lead Controls Technician/Programmer in Denver, CO, to take charge of Building Automation Systems (BAS) programming and control operations. This role offers a chance to lead the technical implementation and optimization of BAS projects, focusing on HVAC systems, control programming, and systems integration. As a Lead Technician, you'll work on-site to configure and troubleshoot systems, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure that each project meets high-performance and efficiency standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of BAS controllers and components to optimize performance and functionality.
- Design, program, and test BAS sequences to meet project specifications, including HVAC, lighting, and environmental controls. Familiarity with Tridium Niagara, BACnet, and related BAS platforms is highly beneficial.
- Manage project documentation such as submittals, as-builts, and Operations and Maintenance (O&M) manuals to ensure project accuracy and regulatory compliance.
- Coordinate with sales and project teams to align on project scope, timelines, and resources. Submit material orders as required to maintain project momentum.
- Oversee the commissioning process, including functional checkouts of HVAC systems. Develop system graphics and interactive floor plans for user-friendly visualization.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED is required; a Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field is a plus.
- Minimum of 3 years in HVAC or Building Automation with at least 2 years focused on Direct Digital Controls (DDC) and system programming.
- Strong knowledge of BAS platforms, including Tridium Niagara, BACnet, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office Suite. Basic networking and computer setup knowledge is advantageous.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities to ensure adequate documentation and team collaboration.
- A demonstrated history of consistent, stable work experience in the local BAS or related field is preferred.
