Responsibilities:
- Lead the estimating team in preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for various construction projects.
- Oversee the development of budgets and forecasts, ensuring alignment with project goals and client expectations.
- Review project plans, specifications, and other documentation to create detailed quantity takeoffs.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to optimize cost strategies.
- Provide guidance on value engineering opportunities to achieve cost savings without compromising quality.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, market trends, and material costs.
- Train and mentor junior estimators, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction estimating, with a strong understanding of multiple project delivery methods.
- Proven track record in managing estimates for public and private sector clients.
- Familiarity with sectors such as municipal, healthcare, education, and mixed-use construction.
