Plant Manager, Meriden, CT
The Plant Manager directs the site’s manufacturing, supply chain management, tooling and maintenance operations through a team of functional managers and supervisors. The position ensures increasing levels of customer and employee satisfaction while improving the efficiency of manpower, materials, machines and facilities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
Develop and implement business strategies with annual objective goals to meet financial, customer, process and organizational targets
Direct all operational activities to ensure that the trained resources and proper processes are in place to deliver best in class services and solutions
Achieve financial sustainability during the manufacture of existing products and the development of new opportunities.
Champion and communicate the vision and mission for the site. The ability to focus and empower employees to meet and exceed expectations for our customers, fellow employees and our shareholders.
Maintain a work environment that promotes safety as a culture and explicit expectation.
Meet regularly with the leadership team(s) to discuss business operations, including customer needs, employee issues, equipment availability, and new business strategies.
Ability to work in and lead a Matrix organization in support of the organizations goals

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBLITIES:
This role is responsible for the overall supervision of the operations, manufacturing, and supply chain organizations
to support the achievement of the Company's financial, customer satisfaction and employee fulfillment goals. This individual possesses both operational and technical problem-solving acumen.
EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS and/or EXPERIENCE:
This position requires a four-year Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution or a minimum of ten years of experience in a manufacturing organization; a Master's in Business Administration (MBA) or equivalent is preferred.
Experience in a manufacturing plant is required.
Preference given to candidates from Aviation/Aerospace, Machining, and/or Industrial part manufacturing.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Normal office conditions and manufacturing shop floor. Travel 10% of time typically consisting of visits to providers, conferences, seminars, and other company site(s) as required.
