Construction company with more than 50 years in business. The owner of this company began working for this company very early in his career and purchased the company about 6 years ago. In that time, he has doubled this business and is now looking for someone who can step in and help lead the organization. The right candidate could be offered a partnership or ownership in the long-term.
GM Role: A new position designed to handle day-to-day operations, allowing owner to focus on strategic activities.
Requirements: Extensive knowledge and expertise in the construction industry. College Degree preferred or 5+ years of experience in construction.
Responsibilities:
o Managing crew schedules and dispatching
o Overall employee management and engagement (23 crew employees, 2 office admins)
o Operations management, including safety, project budgets, and equipment monitoring
o Assisting with project estimation as needed
o Hiring and discipling of employees
o Budget control including payroll, purchasing materials, etc.
o Building and maintaining client relationships with both existing and new clients as projects are awarded.
