As a Data Product Manager at Smartwyre, you will be responsible for leading the development and execution of our data product strategy. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including architecture, cloud, engineering, business insights, marketing, and customer success to drive the strategy, governance, and implementation of anything data-related. This means delivering data platform that enables our webapp and insights teams to safely and scalable access data for enhancing Smartwyre and delivering value for customers. It also includes identifying and delivering data capabilities directly to customers, where appropriate. The ideal candidate has a strong background in product management, a deep understanding of data strategy and models and analytics, and a passion for leveraging data to create impactful products. Key Responsibilities:
- Product Data Strategy and Roadmap: Define and execute the product vision and strategy for data products, aligning with business goals and customer needs.
- Data Enablement: Collaborate with the Architecture to define business needs for data enablement and drive the delivery of this key part of our platform.
- Market Research and Analysis: Conduct market research to identify customer pain points, market trends, and competitive landscape to inform product development.
- Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and prioritize product requirements, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical feasibility.
- Product Development: Work closely with engineering and insights team to design, build, and launch data products, ensuring high quality and timely delivery.
- Go-to-Market Strategy: Where relevant, work with the Marketing team in development and execution of go-to-market strategies for data products, including pricing, positioning, and promotion.
- Stakeholder Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, providing regular updates on product development, performance, and roadmap.
- Continuous Improvement: Implement processes for continuous improvement, including feedback loops, A/B testing, and iterative product development.
Qualifications/Experience:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Business, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in product management, with a focus on data products or analytics.
- Track record: Successful development and delivery of a data enablement strategy for a B2B SaaS business a big plus.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of databases, data models and data governance. Analytics, artificial intelligence and machine learning, and data visualization tools experience also key. Knowledge of Azure and Snowflake important. Proficiency in SQL, Python or similar languages is required.
- Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
