Position: Technical Architect - Java/Azure
Location: Virginia (2 days/week office presence)

PETADATA is currently hiring for the position of Technical Architect - Java/Azure for one of their clients.
Job Summary:
The ideal candidate must have experience in designing, executing, and maintaining large-scale enterprise application development with Java (preferably Java 8). Collaborate with Business SMEs and Product Owners to review requirements and turn them into technical standards.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Design and implement scalable, secure, and efficient architectures for Java-based applications on Azure.
- Lead the development of cloud-native applications using Azure services.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation for architecture designs and solutions.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, best practices, and Fannie Mae's technology standards.
Required Qualifications:
- 18+ years of experience in software architecture and development.
- Expertise in Java (Java 8 and above) and Azure (Azure Architecture, Azure DevOps).
- Strong knowledge of cloud computing platforms, microservices architecture, and containerization (Docker).
- Experience with Agile methodologies and version control systems (Git).
- Familiarity with security frameworks and compliance standards.
Educational Qualification:
Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
