Job Title: Higher Education Workday Trainer
Location: Dallas, TX (Local candidates preferred)
Contract Duration: Through May 2025 (Potential for extension)
Overview:
An experienced Higher Education Trainer is needed to support the transition from an Ellucian system to Workday Student at a large educational institution. This role is key in facilitating the adoption of new systems, with a primary focus on training development, delivery, and user adaptation. Candidates should have a background in higher education, experience with Workday, and a solid understanding of advising, admissions, student financials, and degree audits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Training Development & Facilitation: Collaborate with functional area leaders to create training materials that meet the needs of end users, guiding them through the transition from the Ellucian system to Workday Student.
- Train-the-Trainer Program: Design and implement a train-the-trainer approach to empower internal staff, providing continuous support and guidance to ensure effective knowledge transfer.
- User Adoption Support: Address user concerns and reduce transition-related anxiety through hands-on support, emphasizing the benefits of the new system and processes.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with internal training teams and functional leaders to identify training gaps, develop curricula, and facilitate smooth delivery of training resources.
- Adaptation & Troubleshooting: Provide troubleshooting assistance and respond to user issues during multiple go-live phases, ensuring seamless system adoption.
- Post-Go-Live Support: Offer ongoing support and modify training materials as needed to support upcoming project phases.
Qualifications:
- Higher Education Experience: Demonstrated experience in a higher education setting is essential. Familiarity with advising, admissions, student financials, and degree audits is preferred.
- Workday Knowledge: Experience with Workday Student is highly desirable, especially in implementation within higher education.
- Training & Development Expertise: Proven background in creating and delivering training materials for system implementations, with experience in train-the-trainer programs a plus.
- Strong Communication Skills: Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments and address user concerns effectively.
- Local Candidates Preferred: Preference for candidates based in the Dallas area.
