Hybrid working initial 6-month initial contract opportunity to work with an award winning battery technologies firm completing Software Engineering client on an STM32 development for the next generation product line.
The client are looking for Support on Embedded Software development for an RTOS, Zephyr (Darwin). Experience with Bare metal C code and familiarity with Bootloaders is beneficial, as is any experience producing software to quality coding standards (for example MISRA).
The client can offer a split of roughly 50/50 home and onsite working but this can be flexible over time. The client innovation center is based in Justin, Texas. The client are able to engage suitable candidates on a high pay W2 contract basis.
You will be overseeing the design, coding, and testing specifications for firmware related to new hardware and enhancement projects, working independently or with a small team. This role requires a careful application of design principle reviews and external electronics designers to establish relevant specifications and acceptance criteria. The business subcontract hardware designers to create driver-level firmware to validate their hardware. You may be collaborating with internal teams to provide firmware and software that can be reused or integrated. The work will involve planning and execute the firmware component of projects on schedule, adhering to our new product development processes to ensure timely and appropriate actions.
