Electrical Designer

What We're Looking For:
Responsibilities for this position include:
- Applies standard engineering procedures and techniques to complete well defined design
- Completes tasks in the areas of lighting, power, communications, fire alarm, and utility system design
- Produces documentation for issue to client for projects of all size primarily in Revit
- Participates in conferences with clients to establish project objectives and resolve problems.
- Asks appropriate questions to determine scope of project work
- Performs routine manual calculations regarding lighting layouts, power distribution, and other related electrical systems
- Demonstrates a strong commitment to quality work
- Works independently in developing preliminary and finished designs by analyzing reports, maps, specifications, and drawings related to the project
- Prepares design computations and quantity estimates using various software packages
- Coordinates with clients, teaming partners, and other disciplines.
- Other duties as assigned
- Education & Experience Qualifications:Two-year degree in Engineering Technology, Computer Drafting or equivalent with 10 years relevant experience in design and drafting or other relevant combination of education and / or experience
- Familiar with fundamental electrical design
- Capable of checking and approving shop drawings
- Proficient in REVIT
- Must demonstrate strong ethical behavior while striving to produce quality work within project budgets and schedules
