Advanced Personnel Resources is seeking a motivated Purchasing Assistant for a new opportunity with our client in the Winston-Salem area. The Purchasing Assistant will be responsible for a variety of purchasing functions, working with the sales and accounting teams, as well as vendor management.
Job Duties
- Responsible for processing orders for the sales team using Sage 100 ERP software
- Responsible for following up and sending tracking/status updates to the team
- Work with Vendors and Project Managers to coordinate delivery to meet client expectations
- Source new suppliers in pursuit of the most competitive prices
- Assist in the negotiation of agreements with vendors
- Communicate with warehouse staff to utilize available/in-stock inventory
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- 2+ years of Purchasing experience
- Ability to Multitask
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
