AVA Energy is partnering with a top Clean Energy IPP to find a Lead Counsel who is passionate about renewable energy and ready to drive impactful legal strategies. This role offers an opportunity to influence business growth and sustainability at a senior level.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guide leadership on legal and regulatory matters essential to renewable energy growth.
- Draft and negotiate complex commercial, real estate, and financial contracts.
- Shape project finance structures, including SPVs and power purchase agreements.
- Collaborate across departments to advance compliance and strategic initiatives.
- Mentor junior legal staff, ensuring excellence and alignment with goals.
Qualifications:
- JD with active state bar membership.
- 8+ years in-house or firm experience; renewable energy/clean tech experience preferred.
- Strong background in contract, commercial, and energy law.
