Data Maintenance & Steward
The Data Maintenance Specialist/Data Steward’s primary responsibilities include the accurate creation, updating, and management of dictionary data (i.e. SKUs, customers, salesreps, etc.) within the company’s systems. Ensures data is current and correctly categorized across all systems to support operations and reporting. The specialist will work closely with IT, operational business units, and other stakeholders to align data management practices with business needs. Additionally, the role involves data stewardship and analysis to maintain data integrity and support data-driven decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain process for creating and maintaining SKUs (and additional dictionary data sets, as needed) for all lines of business across all systems.
- Maintain customer product catalogs on eCommerce store sites (i.e., HUB and Store sites).
- Audit and update data to ensure accuracy and consistency across all systems. Engage cross-functional teams, as needed, to assist with reviews (i.e. sales tax and revenue SKU mappings).
- Utilize ERP/Inventory management software to track and manage SKUs, ensuring the system is up-to-date and functioning efficiently.
- Generate and analyze reports on data discrepancies to maintain quality of data, improve reporting accuracy and decision-making.
- Ensure data governance is applied to SKU data, maintaining data quality and integrity.
- Perform data analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement.
Qualifications:
- Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
- Knowledge of best practices in SKU management and inventory optimization.
- Strong attention to detail, proficiency in inventory management software, and excellent organizational skills.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and inventory management software and Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
- Experience with SKU management.
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in data management, inventory management, or a related role.
