Job Description
We are seeking a meticulous and skilled Design Technician to join our team. At this company, there is an open door policy where learning and growth is encouraged and supported. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing field documents, engineering and designing poles for fiber optic cable attachments, and conducting pull loading analysis to ensure the structural integrity of the poles.
Key Responsibilities Include:
1. Reviewing Field Documents:
• Examine and verify the accuracy and completeness of field documents submitted by field teams.
• Identify discrepancies or missing information and collaborate with field teams to resolve issues.
• Ensure timely submission and proper documentation of all field reports.
2. Engineering and Designing Poles:
• Design and engineer poles to support the attachment of fiber optic cables, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
• Utilize engineering software and tools to create detailed design plans and specifications.
• Assess environmental factors and load conditions to optimize pole design.
3. Pull Loading Analysis:
• Conduct pull loading analysis to evaluate the structural capacity of poles.
• Analyze the impact of various load conditions and environmental factors on pole stability.
• Provide recommendations for pole reinforcement or replacement based on analysis results.
4. Collaboration and Communication:
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including field technicians, project managers, and regulatory bodies.
• Communicate design plans, analysis results, and necessary modifications to relevant stakeholders.
• Participate in project meetings and provide technical expertise to support project goals.
