Position: Manufacturing Engineer - Bartlett, IL (USA)
Required: Experience with CNC machining centers. Hands-on knowledge of the metal cutting process. Strong background in mechanics, electronics, hydraulics, pneumatics, and computer programming is required.
Responsibilities
Responsible for ensuring that all relevant requirements concerning technical processes for manufacturing of mechatronic systems are planned, procured, and placed in service. Ensures the operation of the equipment. Including all tools, fixtures, work holding, and maintenance.
Recognize the causes of problems and solve them.
- Plan the technical manufacturing process in parts manufacturing, quality control, assembly, final quality inspection, and packaging.
- Analyze technical processes, conclude improvements, and implement (CIP).
- Responsible for all technical processes for manufacturing and assembly of mechatronic systems.
- Ensure the operation and maintenance of the equipment. Including all tools, fixtures, and work holdings.
- Support the product development process and ensure design to manufacture.
- Create training materials and process documentation.
- Establish maintenance plans to ensure proper operations (Uptime, process result, machine lifetime).
- Consulting and supporting Quality Assurance in the development of quality/inspection.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering is required or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years of work experience in this field is preferred.
- Proven knowledge about the manufacturing process.
- Highly developed analytical skills. Capable of applying tools like FMEA, DoE, Process Mapping, SPC.
- Ability to read, analyze, interpret, and create different forms of business documents (Blueprint, ROI calculation, financial report, budget planning).
- Strong leadership, organization, communication, and presentation skills.
- Strong computer skills, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Solid ERP knowledge and familiarity with reporting software.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing (Lean Six Sigma).
- Hands-on knowledge of metal cutting process is required.
- Strong background in mechanics, electronics, hydraulics, pneumatics, and computer programming is required.
- German language skills are a plus.
