Technical Lead - High-Performance Computing
Our client is a leading global HFT firm that is looking to expand its computing abilities to stay ahead of its competitors. They are looking for a Platform Lead to join their Research and Development team and lead the vision and technical direction of their global high-performance computing infrastructure. This role will require strong design, architectural, engineering, leadership, and project management skills.
Responsibilities:
- Spearhead the design and deployment of cutting-edge HPC systems, integrating advanced technologies and optimizing infrastructure to drive high-impact parallel computing and machine learning workloads, ensuring global scalability, peak performance, and alignment with long-term business goals.
- Drive continuous performance optimization across the HPC ecosystem by implementing advanced monitoring tools and analytics, ensuring efficient resource utilization, and proactively resolving bottlenecks for peak system performance.
- Serve as a key technical advisor to senior leadership, providing strategic insights on emerging HPC trends and their impact on trading, while working closely with quant researchers, engineers, and traders to deliver scalable solutions; coordinate with global teams on system design and resource allocation, ensuring continuous growth and success, measured by system utilization and user satisfaction.
Qualifications & Requirments:
- Multiple years of hands-on experience in HPC architecture and system design, with expertise in large-scale, high-performance computing environments.
- Extensive knowledge in designing and optimizing HPC systems, with a deep understanding of parallel computing techniques for maximum efficiency.
- Advanced proficiency in Linux system administration, enterprise storage solutions (e.g., Vast, DDN, Isilon), and managing complex HPC environments.
