Position Overview:
We’re searching for an experienced and motivated Lead Machinist who is passionate about creating processes and finding efficiencies. In this role, you’ll lead our machining team, bringing a blend of programming skills, automation experience, and a strong focus on process creation and implementation. Ideally, you have a background with 5-axis machines, particularly with Hermle equipment and Heidenhain controls, and you’re excited about the potential of automation in a precision manufacturing environment.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead Process Improvement: Develop, implement, and refine machining processes that enhance productivity and quality.
- Programming and Automation: Use your programming skills to set up and execute jobs on 5-axis machines, with experience in automated machining solutions.
- Specialized Equipment Operation: Operate and program Hermle or similar 5-axis machines with Heidenhain controls.
- Collaborate and Innovate: Work alongside our team to troubleshoot, solve problems, and introduce new approaches. Your voice matters here.
- Drive Quality and Efficiency: Ensure that the products we ship meet our standards and client expectations by refining workflow and minimizing waste.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience as a CNC machinist with automation experience and solid background in 5-axis programming.
- Demonstrated strength in creating and implementing machining processes and a passion for operational efficiency.
- Experience with Hermle or similar 5-axis machines and Heidenhain controls.
- Self-starter attitude with the ability to operate autonomously in a flexible environment.
- A collaborative approach, willing to both lead and take feedback to improve the team’s performance.
