EXPERIENCED CNC MACHINIST
Full-time position with paid breaks. Overtime on weekdays available. Our machinists make hundreds of different parts in small batches – quantities of 50-300, typically. Quality is our primary driver.
Summary:
Set up and operate CNC machining centers – mills and lathes – to fabricate high tolerance parts
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Set up and operate multiple CNC vertical mills, lathes, manual machines, cutoff saw
Performs 1st piece and routine inspection to ensure product conformance with various hand inspection tools and CMM
Read and write Fanuc G and M code programing
Read and interpret blueprints and setup sheets
Maintain accurate documentation and record keeping
Debur parts as needed and as time allows
Maintain clean machines and work area
Follow all safety procedures
Other duties as required
Skills and Abilities Required
Minimum 5 years of CNC setup and operation for precision machining
Reliable, positive attitude, attention to detail
Strong technical/mechanical aptitude, computer skills, and mathematical ability to calculate trigonometry functions, angles, sine/cosine, etc
Ability to lift and move up to 40 lbs, reach into machine to load parts, stoop and kneel; job requires standing for long periods
