We are hiring a Director of Engineering to build a global engineering center of excellence here at our Eastside campus. This is a brand-new role, team, and idea requiring creativity, passion, dedication & a love of software and the people that make that a reality. In this role you will start out owning the architect & product development while simultaneously building your team...so some hands on coding will be needed in the early days.
You will get to
- Envision, architect, and lead a team to develop new products and features
- Mentor, develop, and guide your engineering team
- Participate in all steps of the recruiting process to build our engineering team with an understanding of resource planning and budgets
- Be a key contributor to strategic and tactical roadmap planning and product definition
- Participate in engineering design and architecture decisions
- Drive software integrations with global engineering teams
- Be focused on delivery, execution, and tactical engineering approach
- Collaborate regularly with Product Managers and Designers to refine the user experience as well as technical requirements
Desired Skills + Experience
- You have been a hands-on software engineer (with a CS degree or equivalent) for more than 10 years
- You have experience recruiting and building teams from the ground up
- You have experience working and integrating with teams all over the world
- You are a self-starter, can work with little oversight, and have a proven track record of balancing competing priorities
