Merchandiser - eCommerce
Success Profile: The GIII Wholesale Team is looking for a passionate, bright and energetic digital candidate to support the team with the Outerwear merchandise strategy to drive eCommerce acceleration with key accounts and particular emphasis on Amazon.
Reporting to: Sr. eCommerce Manager
Brand/Product Focus: eCommerce-Wholesale
Location (On-Site): New York City, Midtown Manhattan – Fashion District
Key Accountabilities:
- Aggregate data across brands & multiple different reporting systems
- Manage eCommerce roll-up for ongoing presentations
- Assist in the development of training material for new and existing reporting tools.
- Assist in the development and syndication of best practice playbooks
- Develop easy-to-use templates to collect key inputs and craft insights from reporting systems; turn data into a story to provide scheduled updates to respective teams & key stakeholders on the status of the business
- Owns the relationship with Vendor Manager and SVS for negotiating all sales-driving initiatives (Marketing, Merchandising, Terms & PCOGS Shipments)
- Work between the Supply Chain and Vendor Management Team on SKU changes in order to keep Amazon SKU catalog updated at all times
- Work with Director Wholesale & Finance Team on monthly sales plan & A&P budget and monthly tracking/trend forecasting
- Develop Promotional Strategy for VPC s/Deals and other promotional opportunities including KEY Amazon events (Prime Day/Cyber Monday) within the Allowance Budget
- Review Forecast with Demand Planning on a weekly basis and update with Strategic current initiatives as well as current trends
- Adhere to seasonal development calendar, managing team meetings and deadlines.
- Analyze sales, feedback, and historical data on a weekly/monthly/seasonal basis in order to impact assortment for future seasons.
- Knowledgeable in the competitive landscape, identifying trends and staying on top of newness in the market. Using findings to identify holes in the current business and opportunities for future growth.
- Manage seasonal buy hindsight to better understand channel-specific needs and opportunities.
- Act as the business owner for assigned categories, possessing a complete understanding (inclusive of the strategic context) of internal and external variables that impact your business (this entails owning forecasting, monitoring, understanding, and reporting on the business, along with responsibility for driving projects and promotions to achieve business objectives).
- Have a complete understanding of the customer needs, both existing and potential, and use that knowledge to advocate for and drive delivery of site features that provide Amazon customers with an unparalleled shopping experience
- Conduct financial analysis of business opportunities to meet and exceed revenue and profitability targets
- Responsible for implementing, tracking, analyzing, and optimizing digital marketing strategies
- Proactively monitoring and resolving low or out-of-stock conditions
Education and Experience:
- Minimum 4 years experience in e-commerce, Sales/Planning/Marketing, and managing customer relationship
- Ability to resolve problems with a resilient disposition
- Advanced in Excel, data analysis, and visual modeling
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a persuasive and assertive approach
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Ability to multi-task and work/partner with multiple departments at all levels.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, leadership, and negotiation skills.
- Strong technical abilities, with strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Must be flexible, work well independently, and have a team-oriented approach
- Experienced at planning and managing multiple projects
- Proficiency in MS Word and PowerPoint programs. Ability to create high-impact presentations
- Detail oriented
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Experience working in a merchandising environment or a similar category.
- Ability to take initiative and ownership for the business.
- Strong strategic planning and analytical skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Preferably worked in cross-functional organization structure
- Prior experience with Amazon Premium Analytics is a plus
- Prior experience with Amazon Vendor Central
The pay range for this position is: $90,000 - $100,000 per year
