Human Resources Manager Revised 2018
Reports To: VP HUMAN RESOURCES
Department: Human Resources
FLSA Status: Exempt
Summary:
Under general direction, plans, organizes, and manages assigned functional areas of the comprehensive Human Resources program including electronic onboarding, benefits, training and development, and employee relations. Serves as the liason with Operational Management and employees in all matters to ensure compliance with Company policies, State, and Federal laws.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Directs, oversees and coordinates the Human Resource Department ensuring compliance with all policies, procedures, and regulations. Provides counsel in relation to Company policy, procedures, and personnel matters.
Identifies legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance.
Maintain records of benefit plans personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, and terminations. Monitor and administer the paid time off plans, leave of absence, and sick programs. Conducts investigations for all employment matters to include Workman Compensation.
Conducts management training in interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, performance review, sexual harassment, and employee relations. Plans and conducts new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward company goals.
Administer performance review program to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity within the organization.
Prepares employee separation notices and related documentation, and conducts exit interviews. Analyzes attrition data to develop strategic plans to reduce turnover and absenteeism.Represent organization at personnel-related hearings and investigations. Administers and maintains the unemployment responses in compliance with State law.

Directly supervises employees in the Human Resources Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university (Human Resources concentration preferred); or more than five years related Human Resources experience and/or training, with emphasis on employee relations; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of HRIS platforms. Strong Excel, Power point, and Word skills
