This position is in the Service (Repair) department, and for someone who is technically/mechanically inclined as the career path moves into a Service (Repair) Tech role – NOT warehouse shipping/receiving.
OVERVIEW:
The Service Receiving Clerk is responsible for the receipt of all equipment and parts into the Service Department, maintaining a clean work area and assisting techs with boxing/moving completed equipment to Shipping. Other tasks include working with the Service Administrator to locate rush repair requests, submit parts orders for re-supply and pull parts orders from the warehouse/stock the service shelves as needed. This role may also include troubleshooting, repairing, testing, and calibrating products returned from customers due to warranty claims and/or time and material repairs. Must be able to perform these functions, including repackaging the product for return.
RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to:
- Receive Service returns on a daily basis from UPS/FedEx/Customer drop-off.
- Enter RMA information into the clients ERP system.
- Distribute equipment for repair to assigned technician.
- Receive spare parts/supply orders from the Warehouse and stock them in Service.
- Assist technicians with disassembling Charger/Tester units and identifying the problem.
- Replace defective parts and document the outcome on an RMA form.
- Boxing/packing of completed units.
- Move completed units to Shipping.
- Maintain a clean shop area by removing empty boxes/cardboard and packing material.
- Forklift use as needed to move equipment up/down from pallet racks.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- PC experience, including Email, ERP system and internet (1-3 years).
- Minimum of 1 -3 years' experience working in a manufacturing environment on electronics products.
- Fork-lift operation required; training provided.
- Troubleshooting/repair center experience preferred.
- Works well in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail focused, especially when confirming parts receipts or entering customer/equipment information into the computer.
- Ability to stand/walk for long periods of time.
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds.
